Abstract

|
Ⅰ. Background
Considered the development of science technology and weapons system, the trends of military strategies and tactics developed recently, Korean future aspect of chemical & biological(C&B) warfare will be various in related to defense of C&B warfare.
The development of science technology makes the weapon system so high effective and accurate that the function of the weapon and equipment will be the greatest. So, modern technology will be used in the battle field. Especially, the weapon of CBR(Chemical, Biological and Radiological), mass-casualty weapon, is continuously developed. Nuclear weapon is specialized in the different effects. Chemical projectile would be the two-way weapon which is maximized in the lethal concentration and the safety. As biological weapon is developed with generic engineering, the lethality will be increased greatly combined with toxin and chemical projectile.
In such situation, whenever, wherever the CBR warfare breaks out, we have to prepare for the basic protection points to reduce the damage of Korean army and people.
1. the accurate establishment of early-warning system which detects the usage of chemical and
3. The secure of decontamination which quickly removes the C&B contamination
4. the development and mass secure of antidote, vaccine and medical cure, the establishment of the special safety zone for the cure of patients and the employment of medical system
5. the personal and group education of the information and training
This research introduces and quotes the information of the 「Masan hospital」, 「Jurihi university hospital」 of Europe and 「MMCDS」 of Walter Reed Medical Center from the US for the special safety zone to take care of the patient as early as possible against the C&B warfare of North Korea.
Ⅱ. Conclusion
This research introduced the situation of our military hospitals and foreign hospitals to modernize special safety equipments of people(patient) and armament for maximizing the protection of fighting strength form the C&B warfare.
According to the reality, our preparation of protection we already looked above is a little bit poor and we don't consider the protective shelter of majority to C&B warfare. However, looking over the status of foreign countries, we have to effectively counter the danger of North Korean C&B warfare and improve the ineffectiveness of the mass protective shelters so we can use them as gyms or warehouses while time of peace.
We have to upgrade the our military hospitals like MMCDS for the complete medical supply for the time of war and 21C.
